Concrete Poured for Azure First Elevated Level

Palm Beach Gardens, FL—Construction professionals and concrete mixing trucks began arriving at the Azure condominium location on Donald Ross Road 7am Saturday, June 27th.

The occasion: a "continuous pour" of concrete—a process to ensure flawless consistency in the construction of modern steel and concrete buildings. As concrete must be poured and leveled within 90 minutes of being mixed, the "continous pour" is a complex orchestration of tasks. Trucks arrive two at a time within minutes of a schedule to deliver their loads. Specialized machinery and cranes continuously pipe the mix upward and across a steel reinforced framework to be applied and leveled by readied crews.

When completed, Azure will provide residents with a luxury mid-rise waterfront home with resort amenities and floor plans of up to 5,200 square feet of air-conditioned space. Construction began April 2nd, 2015 by the Gilbane Building Company. This first "continuous pour" totaled 570 cubic yards of concrete. The Azure Phase One building is on schedule to be completed summer of 2016.
